    Hi all,
Been out to see a phantom leek today on a zanussi machine. Try as I might I couldnt get it to do a repeat performance of the leek. The owner told me that after about three minutes water started leeking out of the soap drawer. Pressure tubes and switches are all fine.Checked all again and tested, all good. After I came home she rang me and reported the same problem. Anyone got any taughts on this phantom leek.

Have occasionally seen powder in a lump in the soap draw to tub hose.
Got an LG with the same fault, had a look today, cleaned jets, vent hose, turned down pressure no leak.
Home for lunch and phone rings,it’s leaking worse than ever, back tomorrow 😥

Wait for this lol. Hope it benefits others. After checking everything twice, taking apart the soap box and clearing all the water channels, also, I turned down the intake pressure a little.Im standing there saying “I dont know what to say to you other than your machines fine”. Bear in mind when Im there it doesnt leak but when I leave and she puts on a wash she rings me in 10 minutes to say its as bad as ever. Well anyway, I ask her to put on a wash just so I can see if something shows up and sure enough it does. She loads 2 washing tablets into the DRAWER.When the water comes in they dissolve a little but not enough, back up the water supply and hey presto leak.

On the older Zanussi washers there is a vent hose at the rear of the dispenser that fits in to the top of the tub. When that is blocked it can cause an air lock and make water leak from drawer.
