Hi guys, I have a Zanussi Jetsystem 1200 FJS1225W. The fabric conditioner is remaining in the tray after a wash. I have taken out the tray and the tray cover part and have given them both a good clean, ensuring that the filter hole is clear. I have also given area of the machine where the tray fits, a good scrub with a brush, but this doesn’t appear to have solved the problem. Any advice would be really appreciated as I don’t know what to do next….Thanks! :rolls:

Take the dispenser out and fill the softener compartment over your sink to the top,if it syphons out until empty it is proved clean, one tube fits over another when you replace the top of the softener compartment and old powder etc can hide up these.
if it is OK it may be the jets in the water distributor are blocked, with the draw out you may be able to see the holes in the roof of the soap draw assembly,it may be possible to clean them or you may need the water distribution/top of the soap draw unit replacing.

Thanks for your help spimps – really appreciate your suggestions. I shall give anything a try!!! Will check those holes in the roof of the soap drawer assembly – I have a feeling that this may well be the problem. I have noticed that with a cold fill machine, black yuck appears within them every so often – is this normal with cold fills? Trouble is, not sure how to clean them thoroughly; I guess a lot of cleaner and a screwdriver perhaps – I have tried a plant sprayer bottlewith soap solution, but this hasn’t yet solved it – any thoughts??? Oh the joys of washing machines 😆
