hi,this zanussi will work on spin and rinse programs, but if you put it on a wash,it will pump for a secound or so,start light constant, then seems to abort and leave start light flashing as if ready for you to press start again, any ideas would be great, cheers
As a general rule if a fault occurs the END led and START led flash. Counting the flashes of each led as they repeat will give the relevant error code. (shown in the ERROR CODES THREAD).
Just a quick hunch on what you tell us so far, I would think that the heater needs checking out for starters. 😉
If this is the long board along the front behind the fascia, it’s a common fault with the board. I believe it’s the heater relay that’s a tiny bit burnt (contacts) inside. It’ll still work when tested in isolation but not in situ. I’m not sure which relay it is on the board, possibly RL2 from vague memory. The first time I did it I just replaced all 4 or 5 relays.
Mind you, I’m not guaranteeing that this applies to your machine! Both machines I had this on were outside in sheds.
Another possibility is damp motor but I don’t think it would spin either.
Mike.
