ParticipantI have a new problem with the dishwasher, where is keeps telling me that the filter is blocked. Flashes lights 1 and 3, but I’ve taken it out cleaned it and all is fine. I’ve even taken the water pump off and checked that its clear there too, as I had a problem with this last year and it was all clogged up inside. I know its pumping water fine as when I chuck some in it pumps it all away.
Any help anyone else?April 25, 2009 at 5:55 pm #284125lgmdaniel

Looks like I sorted that error by stripping everything out and giving it all a very good clear, but now I think its telling me its not pumping water in. As the machine runs, sounding like its drawing in water but never seems to. First light flashes the whole time its doing this until I turn it off.

Looks like I spoke to soon… found out that the error means this –
Indicating there is water leaked from the tub into the base.
Pull the machine out, tip it backward about 45 degrees and try it again.
Hopefully it won’t have caused any damage to the wash motor.Did this and alot of water came out, put the machine back on and we are back to the 1st and 3rd error codes again.

Sadly the lack of response is possibly due to the extremely low opinion that the trade have of these machines. Sometimes they are just not worth getting involved in they are so poor.
All we have to go off are the error codes which give 1 + 3 as blocked filters.
This is a much information as we get.
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
Filter Blocked
DEA module (behind plinth). The pressure switch has not moved to the full position
during filling.
Check the pressure switch, pressure chamber and wiring.
Bit100 timer (in console). The pressure switch has not moved to the full position during
the initial fill, or the machine has gone through the filter cleaning cycle and been
unable to clear the blockage.
Check the pressure switch, pressure chamber and wiring.
Check the high pressure sensor switch (opens at normal wash pressure) and
chamber.
Check for oversoaping.……………………………………………………………………………………..
What you would ‘rather not have to do’ is possibly the best solution TBH. 😥
Apart from that perhaps you should call an engineer out. 😉

Thanks very much, I will probably end up calling a engineer, though as you say it might be a idea to get something better as its just liable to break down again.
