Does anybody want a classic Miele? It is in very good condition, other than it has stopped heating the water. The heater element is OK, so it must be a thermostat somewhere. I got fed up guessing and bought a new Bosch but, if an engineer fancies a free project, or the machine for parts, feel free to collect it for free. Otherwise, to the tip it goes.
It is a G540 model and had a new pump assembly about 2 years ago. My Grandmother bought it new and hardly ever used it for 23 years. I only remember it being on twice! It then had 2 years solid use with a family, who rented her house after she died (who also had the pump replaced at a cost of over £300) and the machine then passed to me.
Prior to it stopping heating the water, it worked very very well indeed. It is also quiet, especially considering it was made in about 1980. I even have the owners manual for it.
