Hello all, hope you can help me. I’m looking for appliances for my new kitchen and have been recommended Fagor but have never heard of them, are they any good??
Also, more importantly, i’m looking for a cooker hood ideally one which is built under a unit or telescopic as I really have a tiny kitchen and need all the space I can get. Only problem is that I cannot duct outside so it will only be for recirculating. Is this worth having one? and does the extraction rate have any relevance for recirculating?
If anyone can recommend such a fan I would be really thankful as my head is buzzing with all the different specs.

Hi
This article on cooker hoods may help a little. I personally don`t know anything about Fagor but I`m sure someone else will chip in. Neff Cooker hoods are probably about the best without going mad on price, they are well constructed and come with a two year warranty. Also this article on manufacturers names may also help in giving you a well balanced and informative start.

Since my last post I had found what seemed to be a v. good hood the De Dietrich DHG356X which claims to extract 650m3 for only £220.00 but after reading the article i’m not so sure.
It seems to imply that if you are not ducting they are basically useless. Does this mean that they will not remove ANY steam or odours? 😕

Ducted is certainly much more effective in disposing of steam and odours, however if recirculated and it has a good extraction rate then it should do a reasonable job in keeping your kitchen clear.
