I’m glad to see this type of website exists… and hope you can help me.

I’ve got this Necht WQP12-9319 dishwasher, which worked very well for the last 12 months, but now it gives me an error code “E1”.

From other searches, “E1” means water doesn’t come in properly (please confirm, it this is true, if you can!). I have checked, there’s no bent/dent in the water in, but there is water coming in… (not sure, if that’s enough water-in though), also the water dispenser turner – doesn’t move!!!

Switched it off/on at the socket… Tried all different program selection… but no joy!

(Starting point: next to clock/timer button is 20, P is able move to select washing types, and the salt & filter lights are on!) – we use Finish 4in1 & 5in1.

    Any help/advice/comment will be appriciated

    Thanks in advance, Nathan.

E1 is no water detected by the water level pressure switch in the time allowed.

You say it fills – if the water is trickling in very slowly, it could just time out. If the water is coming in vigorously and the water level switch is not working, the machine should ultimately flood.

What you are actually describing sounds like a “no circulation” problem – the machine in theory should fill twice – the first fill trips the level switch to start the circulation motor, which sucks the water up into the machine, effectively causing the water level to drop, which causes the level switch to drop out, thus turning the water back on again.

    Hope that makes sense,

Thanks for your response, but how can I check this, and/or fix it?

Sounds like a water detector device is not working properly, is that what you’re saying?

The water actually fills the base, then the beep comes with error E1, If I open the dishwash then, I can see it now drains the water out.

I’ve checked, there’s no limescale problems neither..

I honestly don’t know, Nathan. The draining out bit is a self defence mechanism when a fault is detected. It can also be caused by the float switch in the base being tripped by a leak – a very common problem. However, that being the case, it won’t work again until the water is drained from the tray. PCB is an entirely possible culprit.

You should know that this is a Chinese-built machine, which has huge reliabilty and quality issues. Putting ‘chinese AND dishwasher’ into the Search facilty for this forum only brings up some pretty appalling reading. You should seriously consider moving on…….
