ParticipantOur microwave all of a sudden has become temperamental. it will heat fine, then next time you use it it looks like it is working fine but does not heat anything. you turn it off and back, maybe give it a bang on the side and it works again, then next time stops again and so on. does anyone have any ideas. sounds like a loose connection, but is it that simple? :eeek:

Very highly likely a switch…possibly door latch out of line too, But i dont think you will get anymore info than that.. to be fair it is VERY dangerous inside those machines… take it to a local repair centre..the cost should be reasonable.

Hi again sonic.
If you do go down the route of calling your local repair centre.. it mite be nice to mention your calling them as a direct result of sensible information you were given from the forums that is ukwhitegoods, afterall good publicity for any forum/website is a good measure?
( Hope i dont get my knuckles wrapped for this idea? )
We mite then get new engineers signing up the the forums?
I always think its nice to be mentioned and gain extra publicity for giving sensible advice? But good luck with it and i hope you get it repaired without any problems.
