    i have just bought the above fridge freezer from a friend who bought it from a pub. i have left it 24hrs before switching on. when i have the lights work, the usual fridge noise is there but it doesnt seem to be getting cold or freezing. the right panel displays 5 degree but the left is still flashing “dash dash”. i have got the fast freeze symbols to stay on but still nothing seems to be happening?? i have been told there is a call out charge of £100 by a whirlpool engineer. is there something simple i can do before i need to call them? also i have noticed the gas bottle (i think ) at the bottom should this be turned vertical or horizontal?
    can anybody help ????

    also forgot to say i ahve not connected the water. does it need to be connected before it will freeze?
