Bank details??

    Why do suppliers now need bank details to open up a trade account.
    Or am I missing something obvious. Never asked for them before until recently.

    Not an uncommon practice and has been for years. Nothing sinister about it either because its often judged that if you have a business bank account then your ‘credit rating’ ticks more boxes than if you didn’t. 😉

    I’m not sure that suppliers can afford to turn away new business these days. I just give them the information I choose to divulge but there’s usually no problem getting an account.
