Never repaired one of those, Its a 8 kg Machine. (WM14311FD)
Makes a noise during wash, Checked it and did make a noise for a couple of seconds and I am sure its the wash pump, And seems to have a single pump that pumps out and jet wash, didnt have time to look further and limited space.
Just looked on connect the pump is £117,
The picture looks like two pumps attached to the filter body,
    Two questions
    1) Will a Askol pump fit it.
    2) How easy does the front come off.
    Any knowledge would be helpful
    Peter.

An askol will fit, but dont recommend it on the recirc pump, as it runs longer it through the wash so requires one with toc.

Jtm do supply them direct from LG which maybe slightly cheaper than connect as they are the main agents.

Had a tech bullitin from JTM recently which an LG had caught fire due to an askol pump fitted, whether this was actually the cause no way of knowing as it could have had another fault contributing to this ❗

You get enough problems with thier pumps anyway so would fit a Gen one IMO. Why they really have to be that expensive is beyond belief, yet if someone pays between 500-800 for a LG washer then they should expect to pay a bit for the parts, should not be that way the parts are not worth that.

Fitted quite a few pumps to these, thought they are standard plaset pumps with inward facing terminals, (not ascol) never had any problems.

I did my first one of these last week. Both pump units were shot, I imagine the circulation side had failed a while ago but that the machine had continued to operate as its impellor was off. The circulation pipe was blocked by plastc film where it joins the door seal. The original uses two identical Plaset pumps with front facing terminals and each has a toc.
It is best to get a pump with front facing terminals for the drain pump side as the terminals would otherwise be right up close to the cabinet wall. I used a genuine WMA pump which has a toc and cost about £9.
For the circulation pump side I used an Askoll with toc and rear facing terminals. That was about £6. Everything went in smoothly although the drain pump was still making an occasional hiccup noise on test which I decided not to worry about as I’m sure the customer will let me know if there’s a problem.
The machine I worked on (forgot to get model no.) had an enclosed base and the front came off easily enough once the screws had been punched with a centre punch to loosen them. The fascia comes off easy complete with front board to reveal two screws holding front on at top (AEG style). The filter body clips in place into the plastic base so like helo says you need to get underneath.
I don’t know why people are slagging off Askoll, they’re as good or better than Plaset for magnet pumps IMO.

LG pumps for some reason always seem to stutter you would think theres a problem if you are not used to them.

Not slagging off Askol, have no objection in using them in the right situation.
