called out to a washing machine today to find the customer had extended the flex by putting a trailing socket on the machine flex and a 13amp plug on both ends of the extension.
the fault on the machine was leak and program upset, after testing, asked the customer what detergent she used, she pointed to the washing up liquid and said “that”.
after i said thats washing up liquid she said “no not that” and tried to find some other detergent without success.
makes you wonder who some people get through life.

some one in the next town didn’t,cutting the lawn with an electric mower and extension with a plug on either end, pulled the plug out and that was his lot 😯 😥

That’s a new one on me 😯 How did they connect the extension lead to the machine plug, a loose double socket or something? I have to go to a small fish processing factory tomorrow to fix their tumble dryer. They have two washers and a dryer running off the same socket with a three way adapter but I suppose that’s relatively safe compared with some of the bodges around.

They actually cut the plug off the machine flex and wired on an extension type trailing socket, instead of putting it on the end of the extension. its not even a short cut, just stupid.
