    Hello,

I have a 3 year old Hotpoint WD440 and recently I’ve noticed that when I switch it on, every single light flashes for about 10 seconds. After that, it returns to normal and I can use it.

I assume it is an error code, but after googling and looking in the manuals I can’t see any error codes that relate to all lights flashing.

I phoned up Hotpoint, and the customer services person who answered, indiciated that he didn’t know what that actually means but it’s likely to be the PCB that needs replacing. Therefore, they want £100 for someone to come out a replace this.

I don’t particularly want to shell out £100 for something that “might” be the problem, so does anyone know if it is likely to be the problem? Is £100 a suitable price for repair?

    Thanks

£100 is the Indesit Company Ltd’s standard labour charge. :rolls:

The Indesit electronics in this machine are about the worst on the market.

All lights flashing can be a PCB fault.

If it does eventually require a new module then using your five year parts guarantee is your best, or least worse option TBH. 😥
