Hi All.
Fitted a new blower today to the dryer, When testing it fails to run, unless given a helping push in the right direction with my finger then it runs fine. Old fan had been rubbing in the housing for quite a long time then customer rang when it gave up running altogether.
10MF capacitor possibly now weak after all the struggling over the time the fan was rubbing?? anyone came across this problem before?

If any cap start motor will only run with a push & the drum is free then i think its safe to say a new cap will solve your prob, most caps seem rather short lived nowadays.

The customer is in a village 9 mile away, been there twice now, first to diagnose the fault, second to fit the new part,Got completely lost on both occasions ( time for a sat nav me thinks, been using google maps and the printer all this time ) Now the customer is panicking that they wont have their dryer over the bank hol, we dont have one in stock either so im going up there a third time tommorow and loaning them a dryer until i get delivery, then its back for a fourth time and you can guarantee i will get lost again too.
