Candy CMD146 – 80: 16 and 8 way ribbon cables.

Has anyone got an 8 way ribbon cable for this machine? All I need is the 2 ribbon cables that join the fascia interface PCB’s to the coreboard at the back of the machine – 1m + long. Simple, yes? The only 2 ribbon cables on the machine therefore no confusion with any others? Machine only a year old? No problem….or so I thought.
Candy are basically clueless about the parts they fit to their own machines. Model number and serial number are seemingly irrelevant as there are 4 possible cables fitted to this machine. Candy spares ordering service can’t tell me what is fitted so they ask their own tech department. Tech says you need to count the cables to identify them. 😯
Second visit required. 👿 I find I need a 16 way and an 8 way – both have to reach from the fascia PCB to the coreboard at the back. Candy are told this and assure me they will be correct.
3rd visit, with 2 cables in a Jiffy bag. Gias sent me 2 cables; on site I find they have sent a 6 way and a 16 way that was only 12″ long. I’m feeling like a right prat now…..:evil:

16 way, 1m long cable finally delivered yesterday, phone message today “8 way out of stock for 3 weeks”.

Frankly, I’m spitting blood here……. :angry4:

Has anyone got an 8 way ribbon cable that is 1m + long for the above machine PLEASE!!!!!!!!
