    My 5 year old ZX99/5WSI has started to play up.
    When the alarm sounded the first time the fridge was at 8C and the freezer at -5C so I cleaned the condensor and all around the fan at the back.
    The fridge went to 4C and the freezer went back to -15C but only for 12 hours and it went back to -4C.

    I kept an eye on it for a few days and resigned myself to getting a new unit. The strange thing is when all the food was removed from the freezer, it went to -22C.

    Could it be the compressor can no longer cope or may need regassed or is it be a fault with the evaporator or anything else anyone can suggest.

    Update to above.

    36hrs at -22 with no food in it and then at 0400 (why always in the middle of the night) it dropped to -4 and has remained there since.
