Machine lights up but will not select programmes or start, does not lock door, interlock ok. Has a selector board on fascia and power board on the bottom chassis. Has a brushless motor, have checked boards visually no signs of overheating or blow marks. I suspect main board has failed but has anyone come across these machines yet. Looks like drum assy is sealed so will not be able to repair bearing failures hmmm.
Thanks for help.
Check both the ribbon cables around the motor area – they are loosely tied back and the motor mount chafes them through, ie:- no control from the fascia PCB.
Best of luck getting replacements though – Candy don’t know what cables they fit to their machines. (see my thread in Trade Spares). If they are chafed, be sure to count the individual cables as this seems to be the only way Candy can identify them. :rolls:
