Hi all
I have a 7 year old unit which recently started to suffer excessive condensation in the fridge about 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time, especially under the lower shelf. The ice-cream in the freezer also started to suffer!
The front panel diagnostics had no lit segments – so it thinks all is well.
Cycling the power, the freezer/fridge could chill from room temp to their set temps in under 2 hours. After several hours, the temps seem to creep up again and I caught the freezer at -5C on one occasion. I suspect a defrost or sensor problem.
I investigated behind the rear panel in the fridge compartment, there was a slight build up of ice on the fins and the drain looked clear of ice. The defrost heater resistances read 2k3 and o/c (does the main heater have a thermal trip in series? Or is it bust?).
Any ideas what is wrong?
What voltages do the heaters use? It is damp in there and I cannot believe they are mains powered!
Is there a way to force a heater test from the front panel?
More info on typical sensor resistances/temps would be useful.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
