ParticipantHi
The check drain light flashes when the machine is emptying. So far it has prevented the machine from working only once, it usually goes out when the machine has finished emptying. I have removed and checked the front drain at the bottom of the machine and the rear hose from the machine. I have also checked and emptied the sink trap, nothing to indicate a problem in any of these area’s. Any idea’s on what next?
Thanks

Drain light usually means machine as not emptied the water out in its desired time if you say the filter etc is clear and the pump is definatly pumping water out there has to be a blockage or some form of restriction somewhere trapped hose blocked sump hose etc etc. also check connection to the u bend on the sink the spout gets blocked up at times

Hi Phil
Thanks for the prompt reply, however I did not see it before I had to depart to Bristol for the week. Got home Thursday eve. Washer still miss-behaving. Looked more closely at the symptoms and noticed that although water draining, it seemed to only be at a trickle.
Re drained the machine and removed the spigot to the sink, both this and the sink entry was clear. Decided to remove outlet hose completely, whilst removing spigot from hose big lump of s**t fell out of the end of the hose once spigot removed.
Re-assembled hose and filter, tried machine, now pumping like a good un.
Thanks M8.
Although the machine is covered by a 10 year parts and labour guarantee, I don’t like to call them out unless I’m sure its something beyond my control, plus the fact that the 5-6 days delay before they can get here has the missus foaming more than the machine.
Could try washing the clothes there.
Thanks

As the machine is coupled to the sink, ensure that the drain hose is routed in such a way that it runs down to the spigot, not drooping downwards. As you have found, back flow from the sink can form solid deposits.

Hi
Blocked drain hose would not be covered by guarantee.
