    Hi bzz67

No traditional front loaders or slimline top loaders anymore I`m afraid, all to do with energy efficinces.

The only machine I know of is the Whirlpool LSQ8033 large capacity American top loader. Available through DAD at Gloucester among others 😉

Cheers Don that’s what I thought believe it or not that’s what she has already and she doesn’t like it, of course there’s no heater to take it up to the boil .strange that no manufacturer has not kept one with hot fill.

‘Tis true what you say but only in that, as we all know here in the trade, modern machines fill only with cold and true answers are hard to come by. 😕

That at some stage, some twat’s came up with a ‘energy saving plan’ that in order to save Polar Bears from extinction and fossil fuelled power stations from creating ‘global bl**dy warming’ more than they do already. Getting machines to fill with freezing cold water and tumble washing for friggin’ hours each cycle with chemical powders that’ll turn your greys white and your blues grey and give perfect results as low as 15 degrees….it’s got to be the way forward?…..or should that be backwards?…..dunno?

Anyway, the up-shot being that no longer can we purchase machines with hot and cold fill. It just don’t cut it with the modern ideal. It ain’t cool, it ain’t the way forward. 🙁

So what of your old biddy with her Aga pumpin’ out buckets of hot water? Well in the grand scheme of things it’s best to keep her 20 year old H&C machine in full working order. For her that’s the only solution. For you it’s a certainty of continued work just keeping the darn thing running. Besides, she obviously ain’t short of a few readies to afford the Aga in the first place, money to burn maybe there? I see a potential new sale coming on in the right quarters….hmmmmm?

But alas, when the 21st century finally kicks in for her, the black shiny hearse will be carting her away to a landfill. No doubt close by a tip full of the modern ‘cold fill only’ machines, I shouldn’t wonder? :rolls:

    That’s progress………………bow to the inevitable….
