Hotpoint BWM12 Integrated washing Machine not operating

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help. The washer originally stopped functioning half way throught its cylce, I discovered a 20p coin in the drainage outlet which I removed. In the past this seemed to cure the problem.I also cleaned the drainage pipe and had disconnected the hot and cold inlet hoses. However since then the washer will not start any part of the cycle, wash. spin etc, it simply flashes as normal for a few seconds, the door light confirms the door is locked then nothing?
I have blown down the pressure hose and this appears to be clear. Has anyone any other thoughts what could be happpening.
