    Hi Everybody

Just out of interest, I have noticed the above been said in the instructions with my beko freezer I bought last June and for someone elses fridge freezer. In the manuals it says about the insulating material (non CFC) been potentially inflammable if exposed to fire. Does this only apply to newer equipment?

Also I read a document somewhere stating that regarding electrical appliances, refrigeration equipment burns with greater intensity. (Although I gather refrigeration equipment causing fires is low down on the list)

Could anybody tell me more on this/has any body ever encountered anything regarding this?

    cheers

It’s because of the iso-butane gas (R600a) that’s used in the refrigerant system, it is flammable.

    K.
