    Hi

    I have a AEG Competence U7101-4 oven with PNC number 944171318. The top oven works normally but the bottom/main oven and clock/display have no power to them. The bottom oven doesn’t work at all and nothing is displayed on the clock.

    Any advice as to what the problem could be would be appreciated. I have initially been advised that the clock needs replacing?

    most likely the timer unit as you need the clock working for the main oven to operate. you need to know if there is mains to the timer (take care with mains testing and if you haven’t got the correct knowledge and equipment to do this, leave it to a professional).

    I would also check for a thermal fuse or o/heat t/stat linked to bottom oven before replacing clock. Turn off supply before testing
