Programme lights 2 & 4 illuminate and flash.

The appliance when started drains out and then starts to fill. When the pressure swicth is made the heater is energised as the wash pump turns and within a second or two the above fault indicates. I suspect possible relay sticking on the board. Anyone with any other ideas. Your input would be appreciated

Had precisely same fault today. In UKW fault code book 2+4 = “heater”.
On the one I looked at (very briefly) the element was getting hot but not much water was coming in. I had the impression that the circulation pump wasn’t kicking in. I’d be looking at that if I had been asked to. Also I’d have a look at board.
Unfortunately I was only there to fix the washing machine and the customer had next to no money and merely wanted a quick idea of possible cost of a fix for dw. I told her it would need a bit of investigating and was likely to cost quite a bit. She said she’d carry on doing them by hand for the time being. Maybe when the recession’s over I’ll get called again. :rolls:
    Mike.
