ParticipantFrom looking at previous postings it seems I need to clean the fill chamber and the hose.
To quote Penguin45
Remove plug and left hand side panel. You should find something which looks like this:
They fill with muck and goo and throw the filling and washing process completely.
Strip and clean fill chamber:
Then do the hose coming out of the bottom right.Do I need to remove the matrix before I can remove the fill chamber?
To clean the hose (and check for leaks) I need to do more than just remove the lower front panel, I think. The whole plastic base needs removing. What’s the recommended way? Drop the machine on its back and see how it’s fixed? Thanks

ThanksIt depends on the model you have…there are two other numbers on the end of the number you quoted, but most likely yes.
Access from the left hand side panel, towels at the ready and power off at all times please :zap:June 13, 2009 at 11:32 pm #289134Penguin45

Piccies of what’s involved in THIS THREAD.
If you really want to demolish it, you take the cavity off the base unit. Don’t……

Thanks guys (particularly for warning me not to remove the base). It was a bit of a fiddle but I managed to get at the hose and clean it. The float chamber was easy in comparison.
Like every job it will be much quicker next time, if there is a next time.
I’ll make a note somewhere of clivejameson’s details. I presume it’s connected to the Sharley Domestics that I used previously when they had a shop in Naphill/Walter’s Ash many years ago. So being helpful to me now may get you some business in the future.
