ParticipantHelp, lately a one hour wash will run for up to two or even two and a half hours?
The wash does complete the full cycle, but takes twice as long.
Is there an easy fix – circuit board…!
Or is it time say good bye?Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

MarkrHi Mark,
Just a guess but I know a bit about Bosch machines, having one myself-a 15 year old one! 😀 Does the machine have a “wash plus” button or “intensive” button? If so has it been pressed by mistake? ❓ This option can double the length of cycle times.
Hope this helps you,
Oliver.

ParticipantProbable cause is a failure of the heater element . This will normally extend the wash cycle by approx 105mins which would match up with your timings. You will need to check the heater for resistance on a multimeter and should get a reading of approx 27 – 36 ohms . If its open circuit then thats the probable cause .

Hi Oliver,
Yes it does have a wash plus and rinse plus button but neither have ever been used.
The indicator lights do not show, therefore I guess this is not the issue. Thanks

Hi Paul,
I am inclined to think your suggestion maybe closer, having seen a similar suggestion in another topic.
But a multimeter is not a part of my current arsenal. If I could get it tested any idea of costs for a replacement?
Are we talking about a complete dismantle to access the part? Thanks

Five screws and slip the door seal – the front should come off. I am regularly getting burnt out connectors on recent Bosch washers.
A basic test meter offering testing in ohms can be bought easily for under £10. Even you local DIY shed has them.
No chance of a part number and price without the model number……
