I understand the numbder of flashes indicates the error??? mine flashes 8 times then stops then repeats 8 times again

i think its tacho fault, this means the circuit board is not sensing any movement from the motor. it could be tacho coil at fault or loose or broken magnet at the end of the motor, also broken wires to the tacho. worse case is circuit board fault. also check that the drum and motor turns easily. if its tight there could be something between the drums stopping it from turning. hope this helps,
remember unplug before you start.
