This machine behaves like a machine that has a induction motor with a faulty capacitor ie the drum rocks gently backwards and forwards without doing a full rotation. Any suggestions please.

Check the pressure switch and wiring to it, will not do full spin if fault lies there.

Check 1.brushes 2.armature 3.all connections and wiring to motor 4.work your way back towards module. Last resort try recon. module from EMW.

Just rang her, she is getting Hotpoint to sort it out under a extended Gtee for £150. I did suggest this to her as a new motor or module is £170 with the labour 😥

    Thanks for your help.

    Graham
