    Morning,
    I was hoping somebody would be able to tell me what is causing my dishwasher problem.
    The dishwasher has power to it indicated by the “on” light but as soon as I close the door the RCD on my consumer unit trips leaving me with no power until I reopen the door and reset the RCD.
    It’s an Indesit D1620 or that maybe DI620, type no. LS12-EVO.

    It’s possible that you have a wiring issue in the door, but much more likely that the heating element has gone to earth.

    Power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.
