    hi,

    wm12x uk

customer complains machine is overfilling and flooding kitchen.

sure enough, overfilling and pressure switch not activating.

if i fit a pipe to the pressure sytem and blow down it when the machine is filling it will start to pump out at the same time it is filling, presumably as an anti flood device.
is this a one level pressure switch?
if so surely when you blow down the pipe the switch should activate and the machine stop filling unless the switch is faulty.
is the switch on this machine a common fault?
    any advise appreciated.

    thanks.john

sure theres no water still in the recess at the bottom? causing the anti flood device to operate?

It was a while ago but I seem to recall the same fault on one of these machines, which turned out to be a shorted relay or solid state switch on the module

All Indesit pressure switches are a bit weak. Have you checked the low pressure hose for chafing or tiny pinholes, quite common as well.

It is only a single level switch with an overflow level that does not click when you blow up it.

definately no hole in pressure pipe .
probably worth putting a switch on first and seeing what happens.
