Hi I,m looking for some advice on removing the brushes from my WFF2000GB/12 washing machine.
So far I have tried removing them and am able unplug the connecting wire then unclip the brass piece out of the motor and pull the spring out.
but as I pull the spring out you can feel the carbon block move but then get caught on something that stops it coming out.
I didn’t pull too hard as I didn’t want to break it, but is it just a case of giving it a sharp pull?
I have been doing this with the motor still in the machine as I can get to the brushes no problem. I have read that you should remove the motor. Does this somehow effect the brushes coming out? (can’t see how)
I have seen a youtube video of someone changing the brushes with the motor out. It would seem from the video the only problem I should have with the motor still on the machine is trying to compress the spring on the new brush into the hole as it is a tricky enough job with the motor out of the machine.
Many thanks in advance
