You may have seen the article on the frontpage this morning about the governments latest roads “policy”, but in many circles it is being viewed as the opening shot in another round of tax increases, possibly on fuel duty…AGAIN!!

The very latest is here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/3056636.stm

But since for most of us one of our biggest costs is fuel this is very relevant to us on the whole and it looks as if toll roads may well become commonplace in the future. Which makes me wonder who’s going to foot the bill. 😉

    fuel duty

since i bought a diesel car about three years ago.diesel fuel has shot sky high.when we had the fuel protest(which i supported) .i started mixing diesel with parafin .but then the goverment said anyone caught would be prosecuted,no parafin.no cooking oil, they tell us to use public transport.i don’t think they will let me on the bus with a toolbox and a washing machine.perhaps prescott might lend me one of his jags.by putting fuel prices up we have a knock on effect like higher food prices.repair costs have to go up.but not always do the price of spares come down.because of transport costs and our fat cats. when we had a fuel protest last time the road haulage association should have got the car driving public to back them.only fuel for essential services would be allowed.GOVERMENTS should get their act together and think of us working class people.the emoticon i,ve added is probably tony blair after the next budget. 😆
