i have read the posts via the search about the problem with the selector switch and im looking to fit a switch and loom, is this usually a success? also on the the threads it mentions a cover for the switch but all the switch/loom kits i can find dont say anything about a cover, any ideas?
this is the 2nd switch that has gone on this within 2 yrs and the customer isnt impressed so i trying to do all i can for him.

    thanks paul

it wont be a lot better, ive fitted them and ben back to them within weeks

the problem is the fact that the selector is to closr to the big ring, and thats why they put the metal plate over it

its the way they are im afraid

the looms an easy fix, and isnt that expensive

Its nearly always the switch contacts that burn out, the entire wiring loom comes with the thermostats, TOC’s, terminal block etc, time consuming and un- necessary in my opinion.

thanks for the replies, it just seems strange the customer says he has had this appliance nearly 10 yrs and this problem has only occured in the last couple of years! but it still looks good and to replace a lump like this wont be cheap! cant decide what to do at the min????????
