ParticipantI did a search for this but had over 100 pages of results come up that seemed unrelated… I originally posted here over a year ago bout this but I’m unable to locate the original thread as again the search function does not seem to work too well.
Anyway, after a year of the machine working after me fixing it via this forum, it has again developed the dreaded error code 30 bleep, whereby it will not pump out the water. Previously I’d drag the machine out and tilt to the left and this would fix the problem, but not this time.
Can anybody help? This recurring problem is driving me bonkers!

Search works fine for me, just entered ‘AEG AND Favorit AND 86070’ in that exact format and up it came. 😉 you seem to have changed it from an IV into a VI though. 🙂

ParticipantYes, it’s worked for me too this time. Strange.
Can anybody help with my dishwasher problem?

.30 is the flood device. Your dishwasher has a leak.

ParticipantNo leak anywhere – it’s something to do with the flood prevention system.

The base is sealed & there is a polystyrene float with a microswitch above it. That is the flood switch. It is usually triggered by a leak which causes the float to rise & operate the switch which causes the drain pump to run.

ParticipantYes, I used to be able to clear the error by tilting the unit to the left, but that no longer fixes the problem. I guess I’ll have to contact a repair man, but they seem to be very expensive.

We are the repair men. You have had extensive advice for free over two threads about this problem and failed to resolve the it. This would suggest that you have reached the limits if your ability and you now need help.
To complain that this is expensive (especially if you use an independent repairer) is unreasonable.

ParticipantMy apologies – I had this same problem a year or so ago and was able to resolve the problem by using the method I described above.
How would you suggest I proceed, as I haven’t given up hope yet!

Thank Penguin45, have now submitted a request for an engineer.

ParticipantThe same problem has once again reared its ugly head. Getting truly fed up with this machine now.
I had an engineer round last year and he fixed it within a few seconds by sticking a screwdriver down a hole and clearing a blockage of some sort in the base – any suggestions as to what he did?

Not really. You would need to ask him.
