    Indesit DI 620 Dishwasher
    =================

    When the dishwasher is switched on, I hear the old water being emptied. The machine then starts to fill. As it fills I hear a number of ‘beeps’.
    Shortly afterwards the machine cuts out.

    When I open the door, I notice that lights 2 and 3 are flashing. According to the manual, this indicates that there is no water entering the machine.
    I can hear the water entering.

    Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

    The dishwasher is fitted-in. Would I have problems removing it to look at the water inlet feed?

    Anyone advice would be much appreciated.

    i think this machine is fitted with a flow meter, a small component usually just just inside the machine attached to the water inlet hose. it is a small propeller with a magnet on it, as the water flow makes it spin the magnet passes a reed switch allowing the circuit board to register that there is water entering the machine. broken connections or wires could cause this fault as well as the flow meter itself being faulty.
    some built in units can be easy to pull out and some very difficult depending on how much thought was put into the fitting.
    unpug before you carry out any work yourself.
