i have recently moved house and was over the moon to have an integrated adp8221 dishwasher as part of the kitchen.
The first couple of days everything went really well and the plates and glasses came out sparkling but the other day it wouldn’t reset after it finished its cycle.

I have turned it off at the mains to no avail in hope of resetting it and I have tried to start it again on another program but alas nothing. It is the version with the 5 push buttons where you hold down on the start button.

At the moment it is showing 2 lights being on to say that it has finished it’s cycle but when you close the door to start it nothing happens

Can anyone help me and advise if i need to clean, reset or if it is likely to be a mechanical problem……as i said it worked fine for about 3 days and now it does nothing[/img]

The door latch in these SMEG-built machines is crucial to the ability to programme it or not. If the latch is still in the closed position after the door is opened, you will not be able to re-programme it.

If you look into the slot where the door latch is located, you should see a pair of small plastic “tongues” looking back at you. If the slot appears to be blocked by a vertical plastic bar, the latch is still in the closed position and therefore locking the computer out.
