i posted last month about my samsung fault
i was advised to get a new defrost heater for my fridge
is this unit easy to replace?
there is a copper tube on the left hand top side that feeds into the back of the fridge. does this just push in?
i have to defrost the unit every week to maintain a cool fridge
any advise greatly appreciated
The heater must be removed from the new evaporator and transferred to the old one. a tricky repair with sharp edges. Power off if you are going to have a go yourself. Can i suggest the Repairs@ service if you do not feel confident. http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … odsRepairs
hi simon
thanx for the reply
ive just defrosted the unit and ran the diagnostics check(press power freeze/cool buttons simultaniously) but it did not indicate a fault
i thought the defrost heater and evaporator came as one unit
i looked on the spares list and there is no photo of the heater
could you tell me which part the heater is and what is involved in replacing it?
by the way the link you gave me is inactive
