    I have just inherited a Rosieres 2040 DB cooker and the push-button ignition system for the hobs does not work. It makes a rather quiet clicking noise when the button is pressed but there does not appear to be any sparks generated at the hob. Any suggestions?

    Also the door seals need replacing and I have found some for around £27 each on the net, is this a good price?

    Hi Stan,

    HERE would be a good place to start. 😉

    Be warned though, there’s a number of the 2040 Bocuse spares that are going obsolete now.

    A list of spares we’ve got or can get is here for the 2040. I don’t see an ignition unit listed but it may still be available if you ask Dave on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

    Thanks kwatt,

    Found a Rosieres ignitor unit on this site (93489912 – Rosieres Cooker Ignition Generator) but it only lists the 3004SB, 3040DB, 4040DB, 7050 RIN cookers as compatible cookers. Does anyone know if this will work on my 2040DB?

    Last part number I can find is 9902072. No current listing from the wholesalers that I use.
