A while ago I posted a problem about dishwasher middle and top arms not spinning while washing. Suggestion was made to replace impellor on circulation motor. After struggling to remove the old one (I did not know that motor spindle was threaded) new one was fitted. As the motor was removed I’ve checked capacitance of motor capacitor. The written value was 6uF but the actual measured capacitance was 3.18uF. Could this be the reason for low water pressure, as the old impellor seemed fine?
wouldnt hurt to change that capacitor but if the motor starts ok and sounds to be working then its probably not the cause.
there maybe a water diverter in a hose in the lower section of the machine which diverts the flow from one spray arm to another, this could be faulty.
remember power off
The reason for not filling now is that dishwasher has flooded and the float switch prevents any further filling. There is no diverter valve in the Smeg. Circulation pump is connected to three way hose that connects to the bottom, middle and top arm.
The dishwasher was raised on four toilet papers to allow visual while it was working. The water drips between motor and impellor . The motor shaft has threads and impellor is screwed on it prior to fixing its body to the motor. There seems to be a gap which lets the water out if motor in spinning. How tight should the impellor be screwed to the motor shaft?
