I dont know if anyone can help with this one. I have been to a ctd40g today that is dead. No lights nothing. I have checked the door switch and it has power at the board but it wont do a thing.
Its only 13 months old. Do the boards fail on these and if so is this something that happens?

i’ve got exactly the same problem on a CTD40P.

it is not the door switch or the float switch or the stats above the heater.
power down to the module .
    no lights ,no nothing.
micro-switch on the consol PCB seems fine.
no dry joints on either PCB i can see.
    i presume it’s one of the PCB’s.
Is the lower power module just a case of replacing it?
or do you have to buy the EPROM seperate and program it?
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Did you change the stats i have had one i tested stats seemed okay but it still wouldnt power up, changed the stats and it started working. The change came in in August 2007, if the one shot fails it breaks the supply to the module.
