trying to reset a programme today but whatever i tried it would not have it so checked manual and it said programme cant be changed after 6 minutes! is that right surely that cant be the case and if so why??

Machine has programme lock to stop children from changing programme once it has started ie if you select woolens 30c and child changes it to cotton 95c machine stills carries out wollens 30c wash.
To cancel programme turn programme knob to finish turn on/off switch off
wait 5 seconds then turn back on.
The machine also has a lock when programme started push and hold start button for more than five seconds
this locks just this programme and cancels and end of wash. To cancel this before end of programme push and hold start button for more than five seconds.
This is from memory but i’m sure you will find it works.
