    I`m sure there`s nothing too amiss but the fan on my Hotpoint BD42SS runs for almost half an hour after switching it off. Is this normal.

    There is a small cooling fan that keeps the controls from getting too hot, this will often run on or even switch on & off for a while after use.

    Can you just hear a fan or do you think the main oven fan is still running?

    Hi and thanks for your reply. It`s not the main oven fan that continues running but as you suggested the control panel cooler. The airflow exits between the control panel and the top oven. Thanks again.
