Hi guys got a Siemans SE25M851GB/79 dishwasher which is overfilling the little orange float is activating the microswitch pumping out some water then refilling.the float mech isn’t stuck & the air brake assy doesn’t look clogged.I can’t seem to find a pressurestat on this m/c is it a timed fill ?Please don’t tell me I have to upend the m/c & take the base off(lovely job).Any thoughts anyone.Thanks Mack.

Thanks for the reply Chris. I am getting the customer to bring a flow meter out with him.Now not wishing to appear too dumb but presumably the flow meter has an impellor inside & from what I remember didn’t have any wires attached.So how does it work.Mack.

It consists of an impellor and magnetic core and reed contact (like a tacho generator in a way). The wheel turns in one direction and operates the reed sensor to signal one pulse per rotation at a variable voltage (often between 3.5 and 25 volts in fact) The higher the voltage generated the higher the flow. The module parameters then calculate the volume of water needed relevant to the load. Once the load requirements are attained the flow stops.
