My Smeg STX 2 has just stopped with E7. (Instuction manual goes to E6). I have tried having a poke down the transfer pipe between the metering tank and the sump, but this hasn’t done any good.

The Smeg Service site suggests that it is a flowmeter or PCB problem. Unlike the STX1, the STX2 does not appear to have a flowmeter (?)

Machine does not appear to be pumping out.

My inclination would be to examine the drain pump. If this is a good idea, how do I get to it?

    Any other ideas?

    Please help!

    😀
I seem to have fixed it all by myself!

What the dishwasher was trying to tell me was that the draining pipe was blocked at the sink end with a plug of lard! According to the manual error code E6 would cover this :rolls:

For anyone stumbling across this thread, what I did was remove the cover below the door, release the drain pump which is held by one screw. Then remove the drain pipe and blow down it.

I suspect that the lard in question had originated in the sink and not the dishwasher.
