    Old dear at the local post orifice has an eighties Bendix washer. No model details at all (rating plate intact but writing scuffed off. The machine has the same filter as the old Philco type (round three strut front with a quarter turn to lock it) and its leaking.
    Anyone got the part number for the filter/ front assembly?

    Just stick a new O ring on it. The old Hoover Junior vac belt fits a treat. 😉

    Nah can’t do it, unfortunately the handle (front) part is knacked and it won’t tighten fully without it 😥

    Well that ol’ thing can’t go on much longer. Nothing to lose in sealing it up and clamping it shut with a repair plate screwed in place across the opening. Unless the ol’ dear’s got a very smart kitchen. Plus you get a call out every time the filter needs emptying. 😆
