ParticipantI have decided to replace my Hotpoint washing machine, and am prepared to spend up to £500.
After reading various Bosch reports and suggestions I have narrowed the choices down to 2:
Bosch WAS24469GB http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/WAS24469GB.html
Bosch WAE24468GB http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/WAE24468GB.html
Can anyone give any feedback on either of these please?
Other than that, further suggestions would be welcome.

ThanksHi
Do you really need to go for the WAS model which has an 8kg load or would the 7kg WAE model suffice? Only reason I`m asking is apart from the bigger load capacity do you really need all the extra bells and whistles? if the answer is no then go for the WAE. Good all round machines which come with the standard two year warranty, now our best selling brand by a mile.

ISE appliances are a totally new concept filling a niche sector in the market with high quality products, long guarantees, no markup on spares which is virtually unheard of nowadays and locally sourced service should the need arise. If you can go the extra get the ISE10 with a ten year domestic guarantee you can`t go wrong.

Thanks Don
No I don’t particularly need bells and whistles. I wondered if one model was superior to the other, and was hoping that someone like yourself would point me in the right direction – as you have done. WAE it is then.
As for ISE appliances, why are the goods not for sale on the High Street alongside known brands?

Two basic reasons…
Most retailers aren’t too keen on the concept of making the goods they sell last longer, they sell less.
They also don’t like being told that they don’t get back-handers or volume discounts.
So they ignore ISE and, that suits us just fine.

and depending on who you speak to several people will tell you an ISE washes better than a bosch…
but on the was vs wae, if ur prepared to pay for a logixx over an exxcel, dont, spend your cash on a siemens with the 5 yr p&l warranty, with teh wae spec. atm siemens are struggling to move machines so many independents should have almost-internet prices, but on the highstreet, well worth a ring around if your badge snobbish 😛

Let`s see if we can ease the confusion 😉
On one hand you have the Bosch WAE and the upper range WAS, which come with two year warranty. Siemens is part of the same stable as Bosch and the product range starts where the Logixx range finishes, they come with a higher price point and are marketed with a five year warranty.
On the other hand there is the ISE range of machines where engineers from this site with hundreds of years experience between them have come up with a range of machines which have a long life with no markup on spares . These come with in most cases a one stop service from delivery and install to service provision. Guarantees range from two years to ten dependant on which model is purchased.

Process of elimination then:
Siemens – probably cost more than £500 budget
ISE – reads well on this website, but are there any user reviews available to back up the claims
Bosch – Read various reviews, and the most favourable so far seems to be WAE, all things considered. Cheapest price yesterday was £378

Hi
ISE discussion between trade and public. Just two examples I could find quickly.
If you hit search and type in ise AND review there is a little reading to be had.
