    Hi.
I have a zanussi w/m ZWF 386 that’s about five years old. I had to change the module about a month ago because it had blown. Six washes later, it has blown again taking out the same component next to the selector. The zanussi part number is 973914281124029, and the chip (TYACS1) next to selector has been “zapped”. Would appreciate a reason why it would suddenly blow this circuit on the module, as I don’t want to put another module on it to last for six washes. Thanks

trace the wires back from the burnt component will tell you what has blown it. normally heater, door lock or motor.
you should have found out what had blown the original board before putting in a new one.
    plug out of course.

    Thanks for your reply.
Now that’s where the mystery deepens. The tracks were’nt blown on the original module.
Checked the motor, heater, interlock and pump before fitting the new module. Then set it on a 90 degree wash, and after half an hour I meggered the washing machine, which gave a reading of out of range.
And it did about six washes before the replacement module went, and still no blown tracks. 😥
I just hoped that someone had come across the same problem on a Zanussi module.

i assume reading out of range means there was a short somewhere,
you cant check a door interlock for shorting.but a heater can give a different reading when in water.
