ParticipantA customer of mine has one of these and its not spining properly, i thought that maby it was brushes but found out its a capacitor driven motor.
When you have a small load, pick a program and set it on spin it will spin but not fully, but aparently when there is a big load in it wont spin at all.
any help would be apreciated please.

no i thought the capacitor was just there to provide an initial power which it has, it just wont spin faster. But if u think it is that then ill order one.

I’m with “scots”
Get the cabinet off and have a look on top of the gearbox, usually if the clutch shoes are worn they tend to “ride up” inside the clutch housing. Push them back down and try the spin (you will need put a wire link into the lid switch connection). If it spins ok then switch it off then on again, if spin is slow this time then it is most likely the clutch.
New clutch comes with new several color coded springs, make sure you only use the same as the original, blue if I remember right 😉July 29, 2009 at 5:53 pm #293384Alanj

Hi IP
it,s probably the drive coupling. Tip machine back enough for you to get under at front, disconnect pump from motor(spring clip), and then motor from gearbox(2 screws). On the end of the motor you will find a rubber drive type thing with 2 white plastic pieces with three fingers, which interlock through the rubber drive. usually one or both of the plastic pieces are broken. Part number 481932528035 @ £9.08 +vat from Connect or £10.88 +vat from Masterpart.
Hope this helps

hi 🙂
If it not spinning with a full load then I would say its the clutch shoes but when u take them out check for oil around them coz it could be the centre tube seal as well 🙁 its an easy job just a pain in getting the spares 😥July 30, 2009 at 8:18 am #293386electrofix
