Just opened the local paper and someone who I’ve seen locally with Ace mobile cycle repairs (which I thought was a little close, I’ve been Ace Repairs now for 11 years) has a front page ad with near identical fonts calling himself Ace Repairs.
I know its not too confusing for punters, but two of the same name is a bit silly to say the least. Left him a text asking if he is aware there is another well established firm locally with the same name.
Watch this space.
I really wouldnt be too worried about it, its not like he is in the same trade!. It will quickly become clear to any customers that they have called the wrong number.
Rather than threatening the new owner of Ace repairs I would actually call him up, explain your concerns and ask him to direct any appliance repair customers to your number and offer to do the same likewise.
I wonder if there is money to be made repairing pushbikes? When I was a kid everyone tended to do their own, apart from jobs like wheelbuilding. Cycle shops have always done repairs but I’ve never heard of a mobile service before. Might be a way to keep old canis lupus from the door during these difficult times.
