    Hi folks.

I seem to be getting quite a lot of Indesit WIDL washer dryers and W series automatics coming thru` from various sources with all sorts of strange and wierd faults.

Up until recently I never really saw many of these machines so have not got a good troubleshooting system in place though I know they are far from good re electronics and mechanics.

Could anybody fill in the gaps for me re fault finding and the more common causes of problems.

    Thanks.

    Chris.

Get a board from EMW before you go look at the machine if it’s not close to where you live. If it doesn’t cure the fault you can return it and only pay a few quid. Ask them to send you all their Merloni info sheets with the board, so you’re prepared for upcoming jobs. The info sheets give some suggestions of where to look for faults and also possible things to try before fitting re-con board. 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of these though you’ll end up banging your head against the wall in despair, especially with F8’s.
And one other thing. Look at this post by Andy2 which gives useful tips on error codes.

Yesterday an established customer rang me with an AWD12 that’s clicking round. My heart sank. I told her to check the filter and if that wasn’t the problem then she might as well put the money towards something better.
